Reflexive constructions:
Accusative: Ich habe mich gewaschen. I washed (myself). [This sounds like something Misha would tweet.]
Dative: Kaufst du dir einen neuen Farbfernseher? Are you buying (yourself) a new color TV? [I want my MTV.]

A reflexive pronoun may be in the accusative or the dative case, depending on its function in the sentence.

Accusative: mich/dich/sich/uns/euch/sich/sich
Dative: mir/dir/sich/uns/euch/sich/sich
Reflexive pronouns differ from personal pronouns only in the er/es/sie, sie-pl, and Sie forms, which are all sich.

Sie und Ihre Freunde hatten denselben Virus, doch heute fühlen sich alle wieder besser. Bilden Sie Sätze und benutzen Sie das passende Reflexivpronomen im Akkusativ.
e.g. Veronika fühlt sich heute besser.
1. Gabi und Rolf fühlen sich heute besser.
2. Du fühlst dich heute besser.
3. Ich fühl mich heute besser.
4. Wir fühle uns heute besser.
5. Philipp fühlt sich heute besser.
6. Ihr fühlt euch heute besser.

Hey, my icon is... vaguely relevant? Except it's not being used in the reflexive, but in the plain dative pronoun sense. Ah well.

I hate house-buying.

I have come to this conclusion that, admittedly, I already suspected. I hate looking at houses because I'm incredibly picky. Not that I have an idea that this room should open up onto that room and the other room, but I have an idea of how much space I want, and in what rooms, and how much I want to pay for what. Which makes me picky even in a buyer's market, which this is, and dear lord have I mentioned we are getting an awesome interest rate? Ahem. But I hate looking at houses, I hate dealing with the fucking goddamn paperwork, I hate legalese, and I hate bureaucracy. At least everyone involved is being a perfect doll about everything.

So, the upshot and cause of this tirade is that there is no inspection tomorrow, because the bank just now decided to let us know that they want the house under contract before they'll turn on the utilities, which makes an inspection largely futile. Tomorrow, then, instead of going out to Old Hotness (*weeps*) to inspect it, we'll go over to our realty lady and sign the sapling's worth of offer paperwork. Put down our earnest money, make the whole thing contingent on a good inspection. I'm reasonably confident that it'll be okay and, more importantly, the boy is reasonably confident that it'll pass inspection. And he's much less biased and ready to piss a circle around the house than I am. And then we'll have that started, and then the inspection can happen, and there will be pictures for everyone. So it's not a major setback. Just a very, very irritating one.

Anyway. My last arm warmer is almost off needles! After that I can work on all the hope chest things ever. I've already got one placemat started, I'm not sure what to do other than placemats and doilys. People! Help! What else should go in a hope chest? Other than sheets, because I am damn well not embroidering sheets with stupid little patterns. and I don't have an actual chest to put this stuff in. Oops. But, you know.

Argh I can't wait to tell you people about Old Hotness. Argh, I say!

Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

Let it be known that if the Stranger turns out to not be Baelfire, I will write you condolences fic. ;) I have this terrible feeling Belle WILL do something like that, or at least do something that will make her continued existence on the mortal coil questionable. Her not being slated for any future episodes yet gives me pause.

He needs to jump universes. Oh, he should go hang out in Neverwhere! Which I now need to re-read or watch, because I've just realized I only have a vague recollection of the characters and events in that story. I remember the Old Firm, at least, since they're half of where I got my name.

I'll cross my fingers for her still being alive. The last thing Rumple needs is to (further) develop some kind of complex where he thinks he'll end up destroying anything he loves. You know what he needs to do? See Archie. THAT would be a very interesting therapy session. One that would very likely leave Archie himself needing therapy.

I have a distinct memory of de Carabas being awesome, so I approve of this concept.

Aaaand another sneak peek! And suddenly I have a vision of how that kiss from the preview is going to play out. And I weep. http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/02/once-upon-time-episode-112-skin-deep_10.html

I know. :( What I want to know is, what's the queen's end game here? Is she judt jetking Rumple's chain, or is she trying to depower him?

Ugh, it's tough. I can sympathize with Belle to a point-- she likes everything about Rumple BUT the darker aspects of him brought out by the curse. And, sure, breaking the curse might mean that she could have the Rumple she's coming to love without the evil that makes her want to turn away. But at the same time, in attempting to do so without discussing it first, she's not only imposing her will on him, she's also inadvertently confirming his own suspicions that no one could ever love the monster he's become. So basically there's no end to this scenario that doesn't end in sorrow, suck, and some kind of complex for one or both involved parties. And regarding the timeline, I re-read the original Beauty and the Beast, and to my surprise the whole thing takes place in three months. Same goes for the Disney version too, if you consider that it begins and ends while it's still winter. Apparently true love works really, really fast in fairy tales. I imagine being inescapably locked in with your beloved-to-be helps that.

Rumple needs hugs. I've got half a mind to whip up something with him and the sea witch from the original Little Mermaid just so he's got a fellow maligned loner to commiserate with.

It's true; the glimpses don't give us much insight into Belle's motivation. If I were going to pull a theory out of thin air, I'd say that she's been promised to Gaston, or at least he's been courting her for some time, and though she knows he'd be a good match for money/politics/status, she feels that there's just so much more to life and love that she's going to miss by marrying him. Then enter Rumple, and adventure, and she gets so caught up in the pleasure of being (sort of) free that she doesn't realize that she's getting ahead of herself until everything comes crashing down. And lack of finesse would make sense there, if she'd never really had the chance to engage in an actual relationship or make her own choices in romance.

Off topic, but did you end up going to see Alvin Ailey? Or has it not happened yet?

...Apparently Belle is slated to appear in future episodes (her actress says as much, and she does appear in the guest list for episode fourteen) but she has yet to acquire a Storybrooke name. And if that means she's only going to be appearing in flashbacks, well, I'm fearing the "Belle runs off and gets eaten by ogres" or some variation of it is going to be true. And if Rumple ends up being responsible for her death somehow, you know he'll have spent all these years regretting it.

Aw, too bad. I'll have to see if I can make it to D*C this year. The guest list is tempting, but I'm planning to move to Austin in July, so my funds/time will probably be sucked up by that.

What on EARTH is happening in your icon? It's fascinating and terrifying all at once.

Rumple, Chance, and Guerrero should get together for drinks. It'll be a feedback loop of regret!

Will do. :)

Oooooh, Cirque. The only one I've seen is Ovo, which wasn't bad, but wasn't quite what I was expecting from a Cirque show. I imagine the ones in Vegas are more impressive than the traveling performances, since the Vegas ones have the custom venues.

That's true. Maybe Gold and Guerrero would be a better match up, there would be much less manic giggling on Gold's part in that scenario. And they could snark at each other all day long.

...Betcha Guerrero was the one who "procured" Henry.

I love the soundtrack to Alegria, and I think the snippets of it I caught on TV were interesting. I'll have to take a peek at its tour dates and see when it'll be coming around my neck of the woods. That's the downside to Cirque shows, it seems like they only hit any given city every other year.

Plotbunnies? Who, me? The question is, does Guerrero believe in magic, or was he summoned to Storybrooke by the siren call of Benjamin Franklins? Maybe Guerrero is Bae! ;)
