I have a headache and I don't know why.

On the plus side, I also have a ridiculously fucking productive. Soup and soup stock was made, and the vegetable lentil thing smells really damn tasty. I still don't know what was up with the onion. It LOOKED good. And then it turned out to be an invalid onion. It was a stealth-bomb of things that are black and green and should not be in onions. Clearly, no one expected the onion mold inquisition. Fortunately I had the dregs of another onion, which were promptly destroyed in a flurry of chopping.

And the cauliflower broth came out well, with the unintended side effect that now I have a whole fuckton of cooked cauliflower I don't know what to do with. To the recipe-cave, batman! And failing all else I can smother it in cheese.

Next up, I guess, and maybe this Friday or Saturday, that Indian curry soup thing for which I needed the cauliflower broth in the first place. The good part about all the recipes I've been using is that they freeze really well, apparently, so I will be set for at least a couple weeks of December, between that and chicken and dumplings, which I can make the night of because the boy will actually eat that. And maybe chili. This is, it seems, Domestic Goddess week. Which I guess works because we're heading into winter and some things need to be stored for winter. Like food. Good, thick, nourishing food that can be heated to steamy temperatures before devouring. And with all the various writing and spinning projects it seems I'm also turning into Arthur, and storing ideas, colors, and songs for winter. Also a necessary thing.

Hm, and at some point I need to make that Madras spices mix. Later in the week, I suppose. I need to find out if game will occur. All these things I need to do. So much time and so little to do, struck out and reversed, as per usual. My brain is traveling in the Dodo Caucus at a frillion miles an hour. This is probably less than wise.

Title: Deja Vu
Fandom: Push/The A-Team (movie)
Characters: Cassie/Murdock
Word Count: 3,088
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Cassie runs into an old acquaintance, literally. And then some. Written because [profile] gusthemoose is a horrible, horrible enabler.

The worst part about this, she decided, was that Watching was a passive power. The most she could do was shoot someone. Nick had helped her figure out a way to use her visions so that she got a few pieces of information from them, pieces that would help her make general decisions but nothing specific, and then winging it the rest of the way so the Watchers wouldn't find her. And they hadn't. It was the Sniffers and one Division snitch who'd sold her out this time.

Cassie had, at least, gotten the language right on the signs behind her. She thought. It was German and French, which meant that she was now tear-assing her way through Vienna trying to get to somewhere safe without making any decisions on where that was and dammit, this shit was hard!

She had to leave a message for Nick so he'd know she was okay at some point. But she had no idea how she was going to do that, so that was all right to think about. Maybe.

She didn't trust, well, okay, she didn't trust most kinds of people with powers, because you never knew who was working for Division and most kinds of powers could hurt you. A Stitch could heal you, yeah, but she could also tear you apart. A Shifter could make you think the ground was solid when it wasn't, and Movers and Bleeders and Pushers.

Yeah. The less said about Pushers, the better.

And, thank you you wench, now I've been flattened by the size of the plotbunny that's landed. I won't go into the details right now, but it involves another Nameless, this time actually brought up IN the faerie court, possibly a Daoine Sidhe, and ... other stuff. A different way to make him nameless.

This is ... you know those giant rabbits from Night of the Lepus posters? It's that big.

Anyway. I'm just going to leave this up here, finish my writing, and pass out. I'm seriously squeezing out way more than I should be able to of my brain these days. Hopefully, it'll pay off later.
