Russian! Oi, and the dizzies can stop anytime now. Not sure what this is about.

The genitive plural ending for masculine nouns ending in all other consonants is –ов. For now you should keep in mind three exceptions, when the genitive plural ending will be –ев instead.

1. If the nominative singular ending is –й: музей -- музеев
2. If the –ов ending would break a spelling rule. Американец -- Американцев
3. If the nominative plural is soft. братья -- братьев

(Dammit, I can barely remember the OTHER rules, let alone… Sigh. This is what practice is for. Still, argh. Stupid language and its stupid suffixes.)

компьютер – компьютеров
отец – отцов
американец – американцев
музей – музеев
стул (стулья) – стульев

1. Kommst du morgen mit zum Snowboarden? Leider kann ich morgen nicht.

ZOMG tired. Not entirely sure why, but tired. I did get rid of a whole pile of crap to do on my desk at work today, so there's that. Filing, mostly, but also some other stuff that was irritating me. I also am working on trying to figure out how to integrate studying Japanese into my schedule.

In other and somewhat more depressing news, the boy is probably going in for surgery in January. He's got a doctor's appointment tomorrow and they're going to discuss options, but the gist of it as I understand it is that he has carpal tunnel in his elbows. Yes, apparently this can happen. Not carpal tunnel itself but the same sort of damage, wear and tear, is happening in his elbows. They have a couple of options here. They can either relocate the ulnar nerve or do the carpal tunnel bone scraping surgery, which I've had described to me and it was so disturbing I promptly blocked it out so I'm not going to be a very good explainer of such things. The first options means a recovery time measured in days, the second a recovery time measured in weeks. During which time he won't be able to use that arm. Or both arms, if he gets it done on both arms at once. Fun.

Soooo... yeah. Thats the major update in my life. Minor updates include the great cookie bake of 2009 was successful, Christmas cards are away and PM me with your address if you want one and think I don't have your address, and, um. Squirrels.
