In Russian, adverbs such as хорошо, плохо, быстро, свободно, and немого usually precede verbs.

Ты хорошо говоришь по-русски.
Я неплохо понимаю по-японски.
Мы свободно говорим по-французски.

However, in answering the question как – how, the adverb is usually last.

And that's the extent of my Russian today, I guess, since the next grammar point is two pages long and this grammar point doesn't come with exercises. Silly book.

Today, probably a whole buttload of backlogged shipments from the mail order sale weekend. But that should be the last of the massive amount of work to do. Meant to type up the list of things needed last night, but didn't quite manage it. Ah well.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

So, yes, I have heard about Amazon's spectacular cluster-fuck, for what it's worth I can understand that they might want to have an automatic system in place to catch objectionable material that people are complaining about so it can be taken off quickly pending a review, and that some jackasses out there might want to spam it. It's one answer. We'll see what happens.

Mail order sale complete. My head has not exploded, nor have I exhausted myself, and somehow I managed to get back into my usual routine today not quite as though nothing had happened, but close. Right now there is much of trying to organize things and figure out what is listed as 'unshipped' because it's sitting on the hold shelf waiting for other things and what is listed as 'unshipped' because we don't actually have it. Mmm organization.

I am also, as you may have noticed, whittling my way down my writing list. Black Stone Rising is FINISHED. DOOOOD. I AM DONE. And it just needs to be everything integrated into one big doc for people to beta read. I have... I think, three or four people on the list, I need to go back and look.

Following that, I have... let's see. The list of to-write goes as follows: Mal-Inara-Shep conversation fic, The Fix, Jane/Frankie (OC) bunny that will not go away, and then homework stories again. Which ought to keep me busy at least for the next two weeks, between that and prompts. Painting will occur slowly too, I think. There's enough sunny days going on that I can probably manage to seal things between the rain.

Which! That's another bit of excitement. Last year we had fuck all for rain, this year we're actually having our usual spring constant misting rain thing going on. I'm sure the plants will love it, and despite not wishing to trudge about with wet feet, I do too. It's nice not to be in a water crisis, no matter how much I admire Tank Girl or how good the city's water system is. Especially in summer.

Title: Desperado
Fandom: Firefly/Stargate Atlantis
Characters: Mal, Inara, mention of Sheppard
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,132
Summary: Mal gets some really good bad news
A/N: How is it I don't have a Firefly icon? Any Firefly icons? This fic is set in the Firefly/Stargate: Atlantis mash-up wherein Inara and Shep are together most commonly known as "The Special Hell." Because that's exactly where we're going for mashing the two 'verses together. Don't worry, I'll balance it out with a Mal/'Nara fic soon enough.

It was his ship.

He knew every nook and cranny, every bolt, every scratch on the bulkhead. He knew which were the creaky panels on the floor and which cupboard door in the galley wouldn't shut all the way. He knew when people came on board, he knew when they left.

Well, ideally, he knew when people came on board and left.

He knew when _she_ came on board )
