Mar. 19th, 2013 11:39 amFirst, reviewing-fixing the things I got wrong last time. Repetition works, Jag. Repetition works.
Мне нужно выйти из дома. (?)
Мне нужно показать себя.
Мне нужно поднять оружиы.
Мне нужно уехать.
Ты покажешь твоё горле.
Не покажете ваше горле.
Покажете мне вашю карту.
Они покажут их докуметы.
Я не хочу упражняться. Ты не хочешь упражняться. Не все не хочет упражняться! Но если я не упражняться, мне не можно говорить по-русски.
Я хочу говорить все языкы, но у меня нет все словы.
Мне нужно вспоминать [conjugate, damn. don't have that word] мои глаголы и [decline!] мои словы.
Я не хочу говорить о плохом деле.
Он не хочет слушить о плохом деле.
Мне не хочем сказать о плохом деле.
(Note to self, these do mean slightly different things, mind your verb usage.)
Okay. Um. ... I think that may have actually gotten easier over time. And then Kiki worked me around to realizing, in her own way, that it's a marathon, Jag, not a sprint. I don't need to be fluent in Russian right now, and it doesn't even need to be as easy as German is. Which is to say, I'm not fluent in German, but everything slots in at about twice the speed as it does for Russian. But none of this need be true right now. Slow and steady.
That said, though, I think ... probably, at least for now, starting at verb conjugations makes sense for constructing sentences, and then when I make mistakes, going back and addressing those errors by repeating the grammar point (noun declining, possessive pronouns) until it makes sense. Lather, rinse, repeat. Also this should probably go in tomorrow's check-in.
I'm warily hoping that things are calming down in my head and out of it now. They seem to be, at least at work. Improvement on one front is more than there was before, at least. And, um. No, I won't re-update just to list off the things I've done in German, so just, smack me if I don't put an ETA here in 6-7 hours describing the German I did? Спасибо.
ETA: Okay, I did about 20 minutes worth of translation, and will do another chunk after I'm done with work emails. Got one line translated into German, at least! Oi, this is slower work than I thought.

Date: 2013-03-19 05:18 pm (UTC)поднять оружие - usually, the combination ы + vowel goes with the other vowel last. I think. It looks odd as иы, anyway. >.> But that might be a typo!
Покажете мне вашю карту. -> Покажите - that's the imperative. The previous sentence can be correct with either.
Они покажут их докуметы. - is correct! Just wanted to note there is a difference between Они покажут их докуметы. (They show them (the) documents) and Они покажут свои докуметы. (They show their (own) documents.)
Не все не хочет упражняться! Никто не хочет!
но у меня нет все словы. -> всех слов, I think.
спрягать глаголы
Он не хочет слушить о плохом деле. -> слушать
Мне не хочем -> Я не хочу or Мы не хочем
and рассказать or говорить - сказать sort of works, but it's slightly off, as in "I don't want to say about the bad deed/thing."
... also at some point these just stop seeming like words.

Date: 2013-03-19 05:36 pm (UTC)Okay, soooo. No, at least on.. the оружие was a typo, that I remember because I think I had to type it three freaking times. >.< Stupid wrist.
Woo! No, yes, that was 'to them', or at least in my head it was. Worth emphasizing, though.
... Goddammit! I know that vocab word, I have that in Memrise! Why could I not think of it!
... oh damn, I know why that should be всех слов, but... argh. *adds that to list*
So, things to review next time: показать conjugation plus imperative, их/свои if I can think of other situations just to make sure I do remember the difference. Conjugate слушать и слышать both to get the meanings straight and so I remember how to actually spell the damn words. Oops. And review negative possession. (Also they're ... not next on the list in Memrise? But further down the list I'm using for basic verb conjugation, so that works too.
... рассказать, then, was what I meant there. Or, well. Talk about & tell to?
Yeah, this is why I need a bigger vocab. Working on it, sloooowly.

Hey, knowing the vocab and using it are separate steps for a reason. Also there's спрегать and there is склонять and things get mixed up!
That sounds like a good list for review, yes.
рассказать - yes, what you guessed, also 'narrate/tell as a story' - рассказ is a short story.
All the language that is Russian is a mess.
