So far today I have studied Russian, exercised, done all my Big Bang stuff (I think. I did get the novel confirmation finally!), made a blog post for the first time in months, made a set of friendship bracelet instructions, made a set of guidelines for
witchesbigbang, studied my German, and managed to eat lunch in there, and did my day job work. And the day isn't even over yet, what the fuck. I still haven't found a good picture for my red queen running icon but goddamn I need one.
By the end of this current phase I am going to have friendship bracelets coming out my ears. I'm also tempted to take some of the yarn I have, handspun, possibly, and do the same thing and just make straps or belts or something. Because really, there's no reason you couldn't take thicker yarn and do the same damn thing to make a wider thing. Strap, belt, whatever you want to make. And whenever I get a moment to breathe and make my damn whistle case, I'm going to need a strap for it. It might as well be out of my handspun yarn, I'm mostly hand-making everything else on it. God, I really am turning into an old hippie, aren't I. Love and peace, dude. Where's my red jacket and yellow Lennon glasses.

scifibigbang needs you! Specifically, it needs artists. There are many good stories languishing without art, guys! See here for claims instructions and here for a timeline.
So, yeah, I saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon. And, really, what can I say? Giant robots ripped each other's faces, arms, eyes, and parts off. Optimus ripped someone's spine out, that was pretty hardcore. There was one Autobot whose death made me cry, no you don't get to know whose, and not so much literal crying but I was definitely shocked and sad. Leonard Nimoy cracked me up. I know he wasn't supposed to, but he did. Michael Bay seriously needs to realize that all he needs are giant fucking robots and maybe a human or two running around, and spend less time on Sam's social life. Or job life. Or life at all. And way more time with the personalities and fun of the giant robots. There were a predictable number of pans up and down the model of the movie's body, including at least one with a description that had to have been self-parody. Please. Otherwise I might cry. Bumblebee was awesome, as usual. Hell, all the robots were awesome. But it was, pretty much, what it looked like. A summer blockbuster MIchael Bay giant robot movie. I won't be buying it on DVD, but if you want to sit through some stupid human tricks and then watch giant robots kick the shit out of each other for the next hour and a half, go for it. Don't pay more than you're willing to part with for a couple hours' entertainment, though.
