And then I sat and showed a handful of three to six year olds how to spin. Sort of. On a drop spindle and on a wheel. I'm really often shocked when I can handle more than one or two small children at a time, let alone with something I'm not experienced with teaching. And yet it seemed to go of well!
I am ... I don't know what I am. As far as writing goes. I feel like I'm getting back into the writing groove but so far all I have urges for is a tremendously adorable Darcy/Loki plotbunny and the Grimm Mary Sue fic that's lurking in my subconscious and won't go away. I'm not sure when Capt Renard became the be all and end all of sexy on that show but it's really making me want to go back and watch Warehouse 13 and explode my head with the cognitive dissonance of when he was the scarybad never dying henchman. Also the French was really hot. Seriously.
Hrrm. I'm eyeing this quote I got from a mason and pondering that it kind of seems high but at the same time maybe not. Maybe it's exactly around what I was estimating. And the fact that I didn't hear back from the other two masons just irritates me. Mostly I guess I just want the option of knowing what should be around the right cost and shopping around and so on, and the fact that right now I don't have that irritates me. Maybe it's time to hit that most archaic of creatures, the phone book. On the plus side, all of our paperwork is in bar insurance crap! I have NO MORE PAPERWORK LOGISTICS TO WRANGLE. I can't even begin to tell you folks how good that feels.
(Of course, I'm sure a bunch of you know how this goes.)
It's possible I had more to say here, but there's really not much else going on. Weaving, writing, stuff, things. Slowly piling back on with the routines. Slow but surely. Just keep swimming.
Also, I really hate frenzy day of Shark Week. Just saying. And not the Discovery Channel Shark Week that is fun and entertaining, no, this is Ladies' Shark Week. No one enjoys that, least of all the lady herself.
