Man. Everything I'm hearing about Once Upon A Time's most recent episode is telling me this is going to suck, hard. Which is kind of amazing for a show that is, overall, really poorly written. I blame Carlyle.

On the other hand, now begins the real chance that we might hear back from the bank. Which means of course that I'm going to be checking my email quasi-obsessively all day. And all night, until OUAT distracts me, hopefully to be followed by Robert Carlyle inna red thong. I also seem to have gone straight back to Leverage again, given half a moment's thought and a rewatch of the most recent season finale. Or whatever it was that triggered my abrupt fascination with poking Quinn in the soft spots.

I really, really want to listen to certain songs on my iSis and I know that if I do that, the whole Rumplestiltskin/Gold thing is going to kick back up again. So I won't. But I want to. And none of this is helping my slowly increasing headache. Yes, I took painkillers.

Irish is actually starting to be easier to read and figure out! Even if, as always, my vocab needs major work. But the exercises are getting better, I can read and translate things pretty smoothly, and while I think I'll go over the last chapter and do some more made-up exercises just to make sure the points are hammered into my head, it seems like things there are going along pretty smoothly too. I love it when languages go smoothly and just settle into patterns in my brain. Om nom tasty patterns.

Right. If this headache ever settles, it seems like it's slow enough that I could get some writing done today as well as work. If. We'll see. Which does not fill me with boundless enthusiasm.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

... these are three different gold eyes. *amused*

Anyway. Rumpel will survive, and for the first time, there is some definitive hope for him. One way or another. One can hope that Bae won't end up hitting on Belle. WHAT is it with my brain coming up with HORRIBAD developments with this episode?!

Aspirin. ASPIRIN. ALL of it for youuuu!

I only have this one. WHICH IS QUITE appropriate, there was some spectacular raging. And all the hysterical laughter, yes. ALL of it.

It really really really matters which way the isolation took Belle's mind. I mean, seriously. She can come out of the silence she was at the end and break him into shreds. With a LOOK. Or she can raise him up.

Also, shockingly, he didn't kill anyone. ... unless the rose died, that is. Which is definitely not certain, because possibly Regina was giving it (to a woman) at the end. It looked like that rose, at least.

*coughs*

Oh, and I don't think I hate Regina. I pity her. A little.

The preview only glimpsed off it? I think. And yes! Timing, the universe thinks it's funny?

He is... definitely holding on to what she gave him, and I'm not sure he thinks of it as her rejection. Mostly because she made it perfectly clear that it was him rejecting her, not the other way around, she was only doing as he wished. Which is a twist that not many manage. (Also the reason why I think she would have tried again, once she calmed down, except, she didn't get a chance... YET.) Ahem. There is hope. (Mostly because she called him a coward and he didn't quite bite her head off. CONSIDERING Rumpel's past... that's something.)

AHEM. Yes. He was about to, but he got stopped. Because Emma sometimes actually does things. Which are apparently moving the plot along. Because she's only trying to be smart. :(

That. Mostly I want her to be put out of her misery.

That scene in the shack nearly killed me. Really, everything from that moment forward was gut wrenching.

I was too distracted being pissed off and shocked by Regina's stupidity to be really as heartbroken as I could be? Because when Gold learns, he will destroy her. My current theory is make her eat her own heart, feeling each bite, but I'm sure Jag's idea of skinning her alive also has some merit...

*coughs*

How can that woman have so... ZERO self-preservation instinct?!

Also, Em deRavin actually carried her weight in the scenes with Rumpel. Now I just want more.

Ha ha, it's true! During the scene in the sheriff's office she was teasing him like he was a puppy after his favorite toy, and I just kept thinking "You do realize that he's going to DESTROY you for this later, right?" Revenge wise, I think in deference to the genre Rumple should go with the classics: Hot iron shoes first, then rolling her down a hill in a nail-studded barrel, THEN drawing and quartering her via horses. And then finish it off by throwing her remains in bonfire, over which everyone in town will roast delicious marshmallows.

I think Regina's just so consumed with her own desires that she's now incapable of seeing dangers barreling towards her until they smack her in the face.

And yes. More of her is much desired. She's slated for the Grumpy episode, so yay!

I was so afraid she was going to drop it until she turned her taunting into a formal deal. I don't think even the Queen is willing to risk the consequences of breaking a deal with Rumplestiltskin.

And then she went and showed just how badly she lied to him and broke his toy and we know the revenge is coming her way like the five o'clock train.

Now I wonder if it will be Henry who finds her...

I think it sucked slightly less than it could have. Mostly because Belle didn't do anything outright stupid. Like, say, affirming his 'can't be loved.'

She DOES. She does an AWESOME THING. (I mean, later I really fucking wish she'd come along to do it just ten...even five! minutes later. But still, I was actually \o/ Emma.)

(She fucked it up later, but I actually just rolled my eyes because they didn't convince me she WOULD have if she didn't have the Plot Purposes stick up her arse.)

Sigh. The one in Storybrooke was much more heartbreaking with the actual lines. The one in storyland, well, it was just heartbreaking. And the one in Storybrooke makes more sense with the other story fully told. Gyah. This episode was almost good.

I think the Belle in the story didn't want to handle him, she wanted things to work out, for himself included. She's not trying to handle him but she was definitely reaching to him, and not in the button MASHING way. But, well, child-bride. With Regina's generous nudge. *sighs*

AHAHAH wellll. If Emma was written in all eps the way she was in this one, I'd occasionally be cheering for her. Maybe.

YUP YUP. See, wanting Gold vs. Melisande.
