Feb. 9th, 2012 08:13 amNo Russian today. And no Japanese last night after getting frustrated with whatever was making Dreamwidth slow (that they seem to have fixed, yay!), just kanji practice.
But there are sneak peeks of the next Once Upon A Time. Including SPINNING. The second clip in particular gives me hope for the episode, but it also makes me think that is an incredibly odd way to use a walking wheel. I mean, you can rig some (all?) kinds of walking wheels for seated spinning, but it's just an incredibly odd way to do it. And there's always the possibility that it isn't but we have a wheel like that, and I've seen wheels like that used, and they were called walking wheels. And the wheel itself is bigger than the saxony style wheels, which for those of you playing at home is what he had in the hut in the episode when he was human, before the magic. Actually that was a saxony-style wheel that we sell in the store, the Kromski Symphony. At least, I think it was. Pretty sure it was, everything seemed to match.
Look at me. All this Sorcery and Rumplestiltskin behaving oddly and clearly showing that he is at least still capable of the softer emotions even if he doesn't pull them out much, and I'm critiquing his spinning. What fiber geekery where.
Right, a bit of fridge tetris and then off to the realty office to sign all the papers ever. Oi. Hopefully this is the start of things going much faster, at least. This stuff, then the inspection, then more realtors and banks and papers and money and lawyers and things. In some particular order. I have the steps written down, I just don't have them all committed to memory because, dammit, that's why I'm carrying around a binder full o' paper.
(Hey, look, it's another Sorcerer with a walking stick. Just because.)

Date: 2012-02-09 01:49 pm (UTC)Have your Watsonian explanation: pre-curse and post-Ogre Wars, he would probably have had to rig a walking wheel for seated spinning because of his knee. Now it's a matter of habit and traditional Sorcerous masochism.
I await all the bouncing when you get back! XD
