So, apparently Black Ice is getting a great following from my snippets posted on the Nano comm. And I keep wanting to somehow parlay this into "hey, friend this journal if you want to keep apprised if it appears in print" because somehow that'll keep me honest? And yet that never works. Either it never becomes popular (see: Barton Hall) enough to make me think it's worth while or it all stalls out or even if it is popular, it doesn't help me stick to my schedule, goals and deadlines at all. Or I can't figure out the right forum. Or something. Argh. This is an entirely new frustration to Nanowrimo that I hadn't expected at all. I'm not sure I like it much.

On the other hand, going by the principle that for every person who comments there's ten more or so who saw, liked, but didn't comment... that's a good thing?

Seriously having writer flail now. On the one hand, Anna's right. If I finish Nano early I should work on my editing schedule, line up all my drafts and start taking notes on what I need to write and/or do style- and copy-edits on. On the other hand, that gets me that much closer to having to stick it all into PDF format and put it out there. And on the other other hand, lately there's been a lot more "This is relevant to my interests!" regarding my writing and a lot less "crickets chirp" on the occasions when I do pull out my writing and wave it around, so, what the hell, Universe? What does this all meeeeaaaan?

I have to go to work before I can figure out what it all means. Expecto patronum more flailing throughout the day. Argh.
