Mein Bruder. Ihr Freund Lukas erzählt Ihnen von seinem Bruder. Ergänzen Sie die Sätze.
1. Mein Bruder geht an (?) die Universität.
1. Peter lives behind a supermarket. Peter wohnt hinter einem Supermarkt.
2. There are parks in every city. (Vielleicht) die Parks in jeder Stadt.
3. In the restaurants there are flowers on ever table.
4. Peter goes to the university by bus.
5. He doesn't like to drive on the freeway. Er fahrt nicht gern auf der Autobahn.
6. One can buy aspirin only in the pharmacy. Man kann Aspirin nur in der Apotheke. (Should be fem, dat, I think. Hm.)
7. After a meal his friends sit a long time at the table. Word order, distracted by non-working work computer argh.
8. They talk about sports, books, and their seminar reports.
My headvoices or also-mes or whatever you want to call them are being incredibly bossy today. I'm being told to do my work-writing before my play-writing (such as it is), my German before my writing, and so on and so forth. My work before any more writing now that all the orders and things are picked. And. Since I did the second exercise as well, note to self: Go back and double check those translations. Because old language to new language is always difficult. Or a pain in the ass. And there. I have not eaten all the chocolate. I have eaten snap peas and walnuts instead. I paid a couple bills like a responsible adult. See, I can do this.
And ... stuff. I will be so, so glad to get home, be able to catch a nap, and get some rest, and all that. Really glad. This week should be better than next week, but waking up every hour or so almost on the hour did not help. ... Dealing with copious amounts of stupid today didn't help either, but I'm going to spare you all a rant on history, religion, and an entirely unrelated rant on people who don't read the text of their fucking emails before they reply.
I'm rediscovering my love of Highlander. Specifically, I am rediscovering my love of Methos, because Methos was so much more awesome. And sensible. And shot people instead of dueling them on occasion. And threw Molotov cocktails. And was Death on a horse. And did I mention the really really hot? Seriously, I watched the Methos-in-his-boxers scene about three or four times last night. No, that did not contribute to the sleeplessness. It would have been much nicer if it had. But it didn't.
Still really rather hate my Pretender Sidhe novel. Still slogging my way through it despite that, because the only way to fix it is to see what it looks like as a whole and then bash it into shape afterwards. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be something I'm not afraid of or ashamed of people seeing. All my other stories I feel good about! I don't know why this one collapsed so badly. Argh. And then there's nano prepping, which I need to finish doing. At least that makes a certain amount of sense. Hm, what other things do I need to do. Witches BigBang Check in #1 is soon. But I think those are the only two Big Bangs I have left, plus Yuletide eventually, plus Nano. Not so bad. And keeping in mind to keep the end of the year clear of crap to do, because I will end up wanting to do all the Yuletide ever and I do not need to give myself head explodie. Really.
