Yeah, so. Um. Languages. I'm skipping my morning Russian hour for the next couple of days so I can get my Big Bang into shape, but there's no excuse for not making time to do Japanese yesterday. And this is two days of German, though that's mostly because I've hit the point int he book again where I'm sort of at a loss for exercises. Also, at some point, I need to figure out how to practice my French in a way that I can put it down and pick it up at random. Hmph.

Stayed up a tad too late last night. But slept in today as a result, so there's that. And did my full exercises. I'm a little amazed at how easy 20 push-ups is getting. I didn't used to be able to do 4-8 without getting tired, and now it's just, yeah, four sets of five, sure, it's work, really. Since when did that happen?

Leverage is fun. I can entirely believe that it took me this long to get around to watching it, but now that I am, it's fun. The team dynamics are fun, the one I like least is Sophie and she still amuses me with her verbally headslapping everyone now and again, so that's not much least like at all. I'm not sure if I'd like Eliot as much if he weren't chattering madly through a friend's thinkmeats, but maybe. He's the snarky hitter with hidden depths, and that tends to be a type I go for. And I'm only on the... sixth? Episode of Season One, for those of you who might want to know where I'm up to. Taking my time.

Oof. It's getting to be that time of year when deadlines and writing projects are sneaking up on me. Nanowrimo, Yuletide. Dragon*Con. I'm going to spend the better part of this weekend stitching lightwire to spandex, that'll be fun. On the other hand, once I'm done, I'll have the awesomest Tron costume ever, so there's that too. Debating whether or not I should add reflective tape under the lightwire, or would that be overweening. Might see if I can find some anyway just in case, I can always peel it off if it doesn't work. Decisions. Fun times ahead!

It's weird how things can sneak up on you like that - NaNo, in particular, seems to like to catch people unawares.

I haven't watched Leverage in a while but from what I can recall it's a pretty fun show all-in-all. Eliot and Hardison's banter makes me laugh - Hardison in particular, while being quite badass in his own way, is still so very flaily.

No harm in having some reflective tape on hand just in case, I don't think. Better to have it than having to try to find some at the last minute.

It occurs to me that I have quite the soft-spot for flaily characters. Second only to my love of strong female leads.

And there is Mark Sheppard! Although I think he only comes in later.

I think she started out as one thing and sort of ...transmogrified into something else. Which isn't a bad thing, I guess. Just incredibly surprising.

He does do smarm so very well too! I think he becomes a sort of semi-major antagonist at some point.
