Jul. 22nd, 2011 08:20 amA fundamental use of the instrumental case is to express the instrument by which an action is carried out. In English this idea is often expressed through the word with.
У нас лечат такую болезнь антибиотиками. In our country a disease like that is treated with antibiotics.
Contrast the use of the instrumental case for instrument and the instrumental case used after the preposition c meaning with or together with.

I keep forgetting how crazy things are during Guild Show weekend. Filing? Who has time for filing? Not me! But apparently I have time for sleep. All the sleep. I need to pay more attention to when I actually fall asleep and reset my alarm the moment I wake up instead of going back to bed, if I'm going to sleep in a bit. Bleh.
I'm 90% sure that when I got this Yarrrn shirt, it wasn't this big. Pretty sure. And yet, when I put it on today expecting a snug babydoll shirt, what I got was a fairly stretchy, soft and not loose but not very snug... minidress. If I pulled it all the way down. I know I've been exercising, but, yeesh. Although this does make me think that maybe I should get a few more babydoll shirts, or at least work on tailoring the shirts I have to a more curvy shape. Only, not this weekend. Or the next one. This weekend is Folkmoot, next weekend I need to do costume construction. Oi, busy busy.
On the other hand, the boy has to work tonight, so I think what's going to end up happening is I'm going to do the weekend's cooking tonight, stay up a little later than normal doing writing and stuff, sleep in tomorrow and then over the weekend all I'll have to do is cleaning and writing. Mmm, that sounds good.
