May. 17th, 2011 08:22 amSo, Russian this morning ended up being pronunciation exercises via the website of awesome that Anna's friend showed me.
The first few packages of my costumes should be arriving today, which will be nice. And then after I get through this bout of period-induced weight fluctuation I should be able to figure out whether or not I want to start dyeing things for my Faye Valentine costume and/or hit up a Hot Topic for extra parts for an Abby costume. I mean, I have a bunch of goth-wear. I just could use one of those skirts she traditionally wears. I'll think of something.
God. Castle kicked my ass last night. Seriously, I was crying at that season finale, and I don't cry at most TV shows. Well, Sleeping in Light, but everyone cries at Sleeping in Light. Rocks cry at Sleeping in Light, it's just made like that.* Mm, and possibly The Body, though I didn't cry at that. But, Castle. Oh my god Castle. No spoilers, just, god. I knew there were going to be twists by the way they hit all the yep, saw that coming. Saw that coming points, following the whole it's getting worse, it's someone highly placed, you're outmanned and outfunded and outgunned. So I knew there were going to be twists, because Castle is good at that. But damn. I was crying for an hour afterwards. So damn heartbreaking and so ... stupid, in some ways. And so everything. OW.
Happier things. Leonard Cohen is trying to murder my fingertips, but at least I'm getting some good picking exercise. I can just about play Wish You Were Here at speed along with the music, both chords and part of the melody. I tried it with Beat The Devil's Tattoo as well, but it didn't sound quite right. Something's off in the tabs, I'm not sure what. Going to have to fiddle with that a bit more.
Right. It looks like it's going to be a relatively slow day, which means a good time to smooth out the stuff I messed around with last night in writing and then, heh. Never got back to because Castle made my head explode. Busy bees, busy busy bees.
* Not to be taken literally, it's just seriously one of the most poignant, heart-wrenching episodes, in my opinion, I've ever seen.
