In a dependent clause, the separable prefix is attached to the base form of the verb, which is in the final position.
The modal auxiliary is the finite verb and is tehrefore in the final position, after the dependent infinitive.
I have flowers on my desk now. I took a picture and will post it with the evening's Japanese should there be any (grocery shopping) but I have flowers on my desk. Because my boyfriend decided to randomly send me flowers. Have I mentioned how much I love my boyfriend? He is of the awesome.
You know what else is awesome? Lace knitting. And being able to undo my fucking mistakes at it. Which I have done twice today, oh yeah, who's badass? That would be me. Hm, though I still have a stitch off, but that's solved in this row and then, well. In the future, I'll figure it out. And I got that one scarf off the needles and done, and and and. I'm very pleased with myself, can you tell?
Japanese may not occur tonight what with the grocery shopping; after that I think it'll be just, home and then writing. I've been doing pretty well but I have a fair chunk of stuff to catch up on and since I was doing a bunch of knitting out front at work today, I didn't get any writing done. But there will be writing done tonight! I wonder, seriously, how long I can keep up the pace of this enthusiasm. It's definitely bounciness, but it's more a slow steady burn than my usual HYPER HYPER WRITE ALL THE STORIES type thing. That said, I think, sadly, my Sons of Anarchy Mary Sue will never be finished. Or maybe it will. It'll definitely never see the light of day, the whole plot is the Mary Sue relationship and that's not something I feel is a completed story, more a written out fantasy. But that's okay. We all need our fantasies.
Now, if that particular Mary Sue turns up in an actual Sons of Anarchy fic with actual plot, that'll get posted. We'll see!
