-- Мне кажется, что стихи понимать очень трудно. Мне гораздо легче читать русскую прозу.
In my opinion, understanding poems is very hard. It is much easier for me to read Russian prose.
-- Но всё-таки надо знать нашу поэзию. Ты когда-нибудь читала Ахматову?
But still you must know our poets. Have you ever read Amatova?
-- Нет, не читала.

-- Тогда бери сборник её стихов. Если что-нибудь будет непонятно, я тебе объясню.

Oogh. Went to sleep last night after finally deciding I couldn't put up with a raging headache (migraine? I can't so much tell). Managed to get to sleep. Woke up at 3 because of something, I don't know if it was the cat or the headache but I'm inclined to blame the headache. Was finally bullied by my headvoices aka my wiser self into taking some painkillers. Lay back down. Woke up. Did exercises. Started to get ready to go out for walk and... no. It's raining. And the headache's coming back.

But ritual happened, little things. Starstuff, made manifest, and all that. There's got to be hope somewhere.

I did manage Beat the Devil's Tattoo last night? I got the picking a little faster, I guess tonight I'll practice both chords and picking, and next week it'll be a new song. Probably Wish You Were Here, because I already have some of that. Definitely getting into the whole guitar thing. Which is nice.
