... I am not ... no, I'm not doing an exercise that makes me write "I heard Michael Jackson did X." Sorry, book, you're a little too dated. ... Magic Johnso... Ahem. Right. Just... making sentences, then.

The B chord is evil and it's trying to kill me. I promise.

I love you, Bob Seger, for providing me a quick succession of very easy chords to play. Now I need to get into the habit of both chord changing like a mad fiend and figuring out how to strum like I'm actually playing instead of like I'm hitting that chord and then moving on. This may require just listening to a lot of acoustic guitar. We'll see. And I have the new whistle, but it's taking a short detour to Jersey, so I have a week or so to pick that back up. Oi, one of these days I'll really learn not to overload myself.

I have, however, discovered the joy that is Google's RSS reader. So I can keep track of a bunch of science journals in one, simple, easy little thingamagummy. And that right there will be kind of awesome. I might start a google doc just to keep track of notes and things for future random science fiction or fantasy stories. Because some of this is really fascinating, like the gene for domestication and so on. Which isn't so much a gene as it is a sequence of genes that they have mapped out in particular, that might be the code string(s) (there are two of them identified in the article) for domestication, greater friendliness towards humans or in general, pack formation, etc. I'm not sure if they're defining domestication as "friendly towards humans" or just friendly towards outsiders and more accepting of other species in their family group in general or what. Anyway! Fascinating.

My fingertips are still tingling every time I type. It takes me a lot longer to start wincing every time I hold a chord on the guitar, but the price I pay is apparently having fingertips that vibrate on keytouch. There's probably something dirty in that.

Which is appropriate, since it's time to edit the dirty old daft faerie bastard. Also, I have the Katherine Briggs faerie book. Mua ha ha ha ha.
