AD;FGJSHDFJGSHDFGHDAFGGRAMMAR. I HATE YOU. Mostly I hate you because when I have to explain the grammar of a language I grew up learning and speaking I have to dig up the right terms. I can kind of tell you what the direct object pronouns are in Spanish because I can run through a few sentences and go, oh, that's the direct object, it's a pronoun, there you go. I can do it in English the same way. But if you give me a pronoun and ask if it's in the accusative case, I have to look that up. And then I find out that one pronoun can be used in a couple cases at once and then I have to figure out what's going on and then I find out that it's usually only one case but there's fifty frillion exceptions depending on dialect and context and ARGH. FUCKING GRAMMAR.

(No one learning Spanish should pay attention to that except that I hate grammar, I just. Argh. Why do I have to think about these things so hard.)

Anyway. Um. Other than that it's a surprisingly slow Monday. Which, now that I've typed that of course I'm going to be up to my ears in phone calls and other stuff, but hey. I also have the sneaking suspicion I should be way more organized than I am, but right now I'm just taking things one task at a time. Not sure why I'm so hyper and wrought up that my head feels like it's going to explode. Maybe, again, it's just the grammar.

Although, and this might just be today or it might just be that some of my lessons are starting to resemble actual sentences and much less "Cat bat rat sat. Go dog go" type things, but I'm feeling way better about my language abilities lately. I can say "You look like a cartoon" in Russian, which will make sense only to you White Collar fans but that may need to be an icon. I can construct sentences. I've had a pretty good run on my exercises that are getting checked over, and I'm not looking every last damn thing up in the book. I just need to get a better grasp on my vocab, which will come with time and practice and usage. Which also doesn't mean I need to go back to my must learn ALL THE LANGUAGES kick. But hopefully it means less caterpillars and weasels.
