There are two German equivalents for the English verb to know: wissen and kennen. Wissen means to know something as a fact. Kennen means to be acquainted with a person place or thing. This equates roughly to ser and conocer, we shall say.

I have a headache. This day has seriously conspired to Monday in my direction. Between googledocs being a fuckhead and not notifying us that they were changing their UI, having to back up all my world notes on my Wiki, dealing with the monday ship-out, reading things going from bad to worse in Egypt, and dealing with the leftovers of a headache yesterday, I am just done. Argh. At least I have Human Target and, I think, Castle tonight. And at least it's warm out.
Still want to kind of kill people though. Just on general principle. Or something. I want more time in the day. Or a nap. Or to be able to sit and spin instead of having to back up my damn Wiki. I want my friends to be taken care of and have jobs and income. I want the world to fucking work instead of hammering us all in the forebrain.
Sigh.
