Verbal adjectives.
a. Verbal adjectives are adjectives from verbs. The forms here are present active verbal adjectives. They often correspond to English verbal adjectives ending in -ing and mean who or which does something:

встреча с русскоговорящим гидом -- a meeting with a Russian-speaking guide (a guide who speaks Russian)

путешествие, включающее полёт -- travel including a flight (travel which includes a flight)

As you can see, these verbal adjectives can precede or follow the noun they modify. Like all adjectives, these forms agree in gender, number, and case with the noun.

b. Verbal adjectives which function as nouns. Many verbal adjectives are used alone. You can assume the missing noun is человек:

В гостинице было много отдыхающих. There were many vacationing [people] (vacationers) in the hotel.

Мы с сестрой верующие. My sister and I are religious. (веровать -- to keep faith, i.e. people who keep faith)

Knowing this, figure out what the following expressions mean:

встреча с русскоговорящим сопровождающим (сопровождать -- to accompany)
Все желающие поужинают в китайском ресторане отеля. (желать = хотеть)

c. Formation. Replace -г in the они form of the verb with -щ- and add the appropriate adjectival ending.

Now return to the text and find the present active verbal adjectives for these verbs.

говорить -- to speak
сопровождать -- to accompany
захватывать-- to grip
включать -- to include
желать -- to wish, to desire

There. After sleeping away most of the day yesterday, I feel way better. Much more energetic, which is probably deceptive so I'll see what needs to be done. At least shipping won't be, I hope, too exhausting.

I made lassi yesterday, though! Possibly ghetto lassi, basically equal proportions (1 cup and 1 cup) fruit juice and Greek Bulgarian yogurt, the real fruit juice kind and not the super sugared up with fruit flavoring kind. Two tablespoons sugar, stir well. I figure a single serving is about a half a cup, but over a few hours I can drink a full cup-and-cup glass, so there's that. I've appropriated a thermos, too, to carry the rest of it to work in. Should be good.

Human Target tonight, maybe. That's the theory anyway. And it might be an early night again, too, we'll see how that goes. It is really good to be healthy again, though. I missed it.
