kittydesadeRight. Pushing up the sleeves, and time to level-grind till I have enough XP to take another rank in Japanese, dammit.
１． 私の 友だちは せが 高いです。 そして、 かおが まるくてきれいです。
２． やまがたさんは 目が ちゃいろくて 小さいです。
３． てつおさんは せが ひくいです。 そして、 かみが みじかくて まっすぐです。
４． アントンは かみが みじかくて ちゃいろいです。 (... what would be a word for untidy in this context? ぼさぼさ!) (Note to self: you can't extend a ン.)
５．ジャソン ジェーソンは かおが きれいで しかくいです。
６． イリナは せが ひくいです。 目が 大きくてあおいです。
７． ヘレン ミレンさんは かみが みじかくて きんぱつです。 (And now I give up on attempting to transliterate. I hate transliterating.)
８． Murdockは 足と手が ながいです。 (マードック, or マードク)
９． Cassieは はなが ちさくて ひくいです。 キャッシー
１０． Guerrero （ゲレロ？ Yes, apparently!）さんは せが ひくいです。 そして、 めが青いです。
Okay, you know what actually happened here? I was so freaked out that I'd forgotten a particular grammar point (which I had, from learning it ten years ago, but not the point) that I determined to review it tonight. So I looked up where it appeared in the book... only to realize that it was in fact the next grammar point I would have studied and the only reason I tripped over it last exercise is because I overreached and made things more complicated than they wanted me to.
Seriously, I have brains and can follow directions. I swear. This is also why I have been forbidden to do a full conlang. I make everything more complicated than it has to be.
In other news, Matt Damon has a portrait hidden somewhere. Somewhere, probably in the Raiders warehouse, there are portraits of him and Johnny Depp and who knows who else that will never ever be seen by humans again. And when we go out to colonize other planets in other systems, we will be represented by Matt Damon and Johnny Depp because they will not have aged a day. Seriously, that's just creepy.
I'm watching Human Target and I will spare you the play by play since it mostly involves me capslocking at the screen, as well as any online friends who would have half a clue what I'm talking about, but let's just say I think the writers have found their niche as far as characterisation that works goes. Now, if they could just ease the pacing a bit, I'd be very happy. mostly the individual episode pacing, since unlike Supernatural (I'm looking at you Season 5) there isn't a major overarching story to tell. There's an overarching theme, sort of, but not an overarching story. But the characters this ep? Kind of awesome. More awesome than they've been in a while.
Right. And now, all the writing, because Yuletide is due in five days and I need to have ALL THE FIC written by then. Augh.
