This will probably be the last con report because tomorrow is mostly just packing up, hanging out with friends, and then heading home.

We had a leisurely morning this morning. All the lines for all the Butcher everythings were just as insane as I imagined. The boy is talking about going to a con in West VA to see him, which will be much smaller and I'd actually stand a chance of meeting him, seeing him, or getting him to sign my skull. But I'm still glad I didn't bother trying. Instead I got dolled up as Cheetara again and went out, took a last turn around the Walk of Fame and did get the Pirates people, one of whom (Marty, I think?) did the Thundercats cheer for me. It was great. We talked about the costume, the show, I mentioned the fan trailer, we talked about the rumors of a movie. And then I went on to Lee Arenberg (sp?) who played Pintel and who did the "'ello Poppet!" schtick at me, which was charming. And we chatted for a bit but he had a panel to go to, so we cut it short.

And then I went and stood in line for Michael Shanks. One of the handlers, I think the one for Ben Browder, grinned at me and cheered my costume, and then I was two behind someone when Michael Shanks looks over at me and grins because, hey, Thundercats! He really got a kick out of it. I got my autographs, and we talked some about the possibility of Victor coming back. Apparently although the creator has a strict, wife-enforced policy of not bringing characters back, there was talk at a very recent con that there was going to be a Sam Axe prequel, and rumors of something dealing with Victor. He sounded very excited about it, so presumably he's up for it if they organize it. Which, hey. Anything more with Victor in it is fine by me! I have a Victor as requested, and I got a picture for me that is Daniel Jackson, I'm pretty sure, but could probably also be Victor if I squinted. So, yay!

And then I did my turn around the catwalk. I got another six or seven pictures taken of me, not so many because I left to donate blood, and a whole lot of "Yay Cheetara!" and people showing me their Thundercats tattoos. I'm so not kidding, at least three different people showed me Thundercats symbol tattoos, and I say three different people because one of them didn't seem to remember he'd shown it to me the other day. (I remember his because it was turquoise and fresh.) And, dude. Even the actors, some of them, liked my costume. Seriously, Michael Shanks grinning and giving me the nod was awesome. Simply awesome.

I did donate blood, despite a severe fear of needles. I didn't look but apparently I did quite well, even if they thought I looked tense. Which, of course, I have a fear of needles! They propped me up and put ice packs all over me and eventually seemed surprised when I just got up and walked out. Silly people. But apparently it was a very good turnout for them, so, yay! Now... mostly, now, just hanging out till we all get hungry for dinner. Picking up, packing up, and then we can just leave tomorrow. And for some reason Sound of Music is on the hotel TV. I don't know. But it works.

Damn. Fine. Dragon. Con. Seriously. I think it was almost better than last year. And next year will be even better. Next year I'm definitely doing Cheetara, I'm going to try to do Teyla, and maybe I'll be able to do Silk Spectre. And then maybe Abby Sciuto or something. It'll be awesome whichever way. Cheetara was a big success, though, and I'm so reusing that next year. I now have everything except the black bits in the wig. Which I'll fix when i get home and have time. And I can even reuse the bracers! And the bracelets, for that matter.

Oh. I have an Aes Sedai ring now, too.
