When you conjugate an imperfective/continuous verb, you get present tense. (вставать: Я встаю. I get up.)

When you conjugate a perfective/simple verb, you get perfective/simple future tense ( встать: Я встану. I will get up.) Use the perfective future to refer to a complete single simple event in the future when you want to emphasize the result.

When you conjugate the verb быть and use it with an imperfective infinitive, you get imperfective future. (вставать: я буду вставать каждое утро в семь часов.) This is used to refer to future events that extend over a long duration, that are repeated, or for which you do not want to emphasize the result.

That was a fun little exploration of the hilarity of the word 'boobs' this morning. This was also a fun little exploration of the concept of having just enough sinus headache to not to want to do anything. Ugh.

So, I think I may have actually, finally caught up on sleep. On account of falling asleep last night instead of getting very much writing done at all. Science says that this concept of catching up on sleep is a lie, much like the cake, but I think science is the one who lies here because everyone knows that eventually you can restore your sleep equilibrium, right? OF COURSE, RIGHT.

I also managed to get the appropriate deadlines up on my writing schedule, and then promptly cower in fear at how everything is due right the fuck now. I do, however, need to work on my writing schedule. And then work on writing, probably today, and finish working on getting caught up this weekend. Which kind of makes me glad I haven't had any wacky schedule weirdness this week so that I don't need a weekend to recover so badly. This weekend is game (Saturday, not Friday) and going to the mall to look at furniture, TVs (probably not buy, just look at and ponder), and to pick up little costume things like makeup and possibly a bra that does not show behind the leotard. And something else. I have a list! Oh, and sewing. There will be sewing this weekend. God, this weekend I will not stay up till fuck o'clock in the morning. I promise.

Heh. I'll also get some Japanese and German done today; yesterday was skiving off work early to go to PT and then getting the Herald costume fabric. PT was good, I'm doing well, I'm doing my exercises properly, which I was a little worried about. And I should only need one more appointment to up my exercises a little bit, make sure I haven't slacked/relapsed, and then I'll be good to go. I'm cleared for whatever exercises I may have done normally, no doing anything abruptly wild and crazy like throwing myself off of cliffs/out of airplanes or taking up gymnastics, but good to go for my normal routine.

And, heh. Of course, as I was leaving PT, it started to drizzle. We headed, in the car, up the couple of blocks to stop by the fabric store before home. By the time we got to the fabric store the skies had opened up and it was pouring down rain. Streets that had been try ten minutes ago now were drowning in a half inch to an inch of water, I shit you not.

Right. And now, work. And other things of some kind. I'm not sure what, but other things. Writing, at the very least.
