Spinning class was a pretty good success. I made yarn! I made yarn of a somewhat uniform thickness, too! Which I think is pretty damn awesome, considering I only started spinning last week. I also managed to finish up two essays, do my scene in Martine this morning, did at least one TM prompt (I'm going to try for two) and got some random other stuff done. Because I am just that awesome.

I am feeling a lot better about the Martine novel (which still needs a title) now that I'm doing it less to an arbitrary deadline and more in 'one scene a day.' I think if I ever do become a professional writer I may work that way, just because if nothing else I can get a book draft done in two months. I'll tell my agent or editor six months, of course. Just to be sneaky. That way I can pull a miracle out of my ass in time for whatever! Not really; if I have that long it'll probably take me that long. Just look at how I operate on Big Bangs. Writing tasks seem to expand to fill the time allotted to them, and they always end up being done at the last minute. It's the ones that don't have deadlines, that you're just sort of doing, that go by quickly.

The boy and I are having discussions about my vampire dragon sprites. This amuses me possibly more than it should.

Anyway, the rest of the week hopefully will not be as godawful insane as last week was. It's still relatively busy, business is picking up slowly as people start thinking ahead towards summer activities, schools and such, but it's still relatively quiet. I've decided that, should I ever actually get disposable income, I will dispose of some of it into a netbook so I'm not hauling my giantass (well, for a laptop) laptop to and from work. And to and from the Maryland Sheep and Wool festival. But then, that's if I ever actually wind up with $300 in disposable income. Moo. We'll see what taxes do this year.
