1. What did you say your last name is? Как вы сказал(а) фамилия?
2. First name? Имя?
3. Oh, yes, here it is. You're in a dorm. Do you know where Yates Hall is? You're on the fifth floor. Да, я вижу. (As close as I can figure to the semantic meaning.) Вы в общежитии. Знаете где Йейтс общежитие? Вы на пятом этаже.
4. No, you have two roommates. Нет, у вас есть два соседкы.
5. Bathrooms and showers are on the (each) floor. У нас ванния и туалет на каждом этаже.
6. No, there's no refrigerator, but every room has a bed, a desk, and a lamp. There's a refrigerator on each floor. Нет, у нас нет холодильник, но у каждая комната есть кровать, письменный стол, и лампа. У каждого этажа есть холодильник.
7. There's a telephone and a TV on each floor. У нас есть телефон и телевизор на каждом этаже.
8. You're welcome. Пожалуйста.

Verbs will be added later, or I can just review the ones I have. Which might be better. Orrr... I could pack my verb book! Since my verb list is in my gdoc anyway. There. Now, I've either done way better than I expected or I've completely butchered this exercise. Which just goes to show I need to practice actual conversational Russian as opposed to stilted formal textbook conversational Russian more.

Oogh. Still trying to plug away at the PolyBigBangs. Almost done with Blade Runner, I think, which is good. Blood Ties is going to kick my cute little ass.

Now, remember, self. Even if you totally butcher this exercise, you knew you struggled with it to begin with. That's why it's called learning. You make mistakes, you learn from them, you move on. This is, by and large, more conversational than you've had to do before. Be gentle on yourself and you'll learn better.
