Russian. Sort of. Slowly getting back into it, at least.

This morning started off with more Patrick Swayze's death in the news, which, although not entirely unexpected considering the cancer, is depressing. Family news as well, and my aunt and uncle are down south for the funeral of a cousin of my uncle's.

There's a lot of death and sadness in the air, or gloom, or terminal something. Awareness of mortality. Emptiness. I don't like it.

Ванная – bathroom (declines like adj) (for bathing)
Гостиная – living room (declines like adj)
Кабинет – office (cabinet? Huh.)
Холодильник - refrigerator
Плита - stove
Письменный стол – desk (стол – table, so Письменный стол – writing table, or table for letters?)
Стул – chair (hah! I got that one without even looking it up)
Шкаф – cabinet or wardrobe
Кресло - armchair
Лампа - lamp
Ковёр - rug
Диван - couch
Кровать – bed

Какие комнаты в ваше доме? Какая у вас мебель дома?
В моём доме спальня, кухня, гостиная и кабинет. У меня есть плита, стол, письменный стол, стулья, шкафы, кровать, лампы.
