Aug. 5th, 2009 02:36 pmI didn't want to have to post so soon for something bad, dangit.
Well, joining on the dentistry bandwagon, I could swear I had a filling pop out today while at work and chewing on a cracker. Which means calling the dentist. And as Anna pointed out, its' about time for my annual anyway, and I have insurance, and there are things I could do while I'm in the chair that will take my mind off all the stinky, vibraty stuff happening in my mouth. Ugh.
That said? I think I figured out why this is irritating me so much. I feel like I don't deserve this. Yeah, in the past, if bad shit happened to my teeth it was because I ate too much candy or sweet stuff or didn't brush. But now? I brush! I brush twice a day, I floss, like they say you should. I don't eat very much sweet stuff. And, what the hell, I get a filling coming out anyway? Not fair! I don't want to have to go to the dentist and suffer when I'm doing all the right things! Never mind that in the years I didn't have insurance, not much happened.
I'm going to check in the mirror when I get home anyway (I've found stranger things in cracker boxes) and make sure it was a filling popped out. And find my dental insurance stuff and my dentist's phone number. And then I guess I'm going to call and make hte damn appointment, and from what I remember he's pretty good about getting you in quick when you have a sudden tooth issue. But, dammit. I didn't think this should happen.
ETA: All that whinging aside, I did make the dentist appointment. So. Go go baby courtsan me?
