kittydesadeUnits of weight and capacity! And things. Germans, being sane people, use the Gramm and the Kilo and other things that divide more equally into each other. Instead of our weird pound ounce stuff.
Wie viel brauchen Sie? You're going grocery shopping for an elderly neighbor and are finding out how much of each item she wants you to buy.
1. Wie viel Kartoffeln brauchen Sie? Ich brauche fünf Kilo Kartoffeln.
2. Und wie viel Käse? Ich brauche 200 Gramm Käse.
3. Wie viel Milch brauchen Sie? Ich brauche zwei Liter Milch.
4. Wie viel Fisch? Ich brauche zwei Pfund Fisch.
5. Und Tee? Ich brauche 100 Gramm Tee.
6. Und wie viel Bananen brauchen Sie? Ich brauche ein Kilo Bananen.
7. Wie viel Wurst? Ich brauche 150 Gramm Wurst.
... and now there seems to be an exercise involving dialogues, sooo... it will be a shopping list!
Ich brauche 225 Gramm Champignon für Stroganoff.
Ich brauche zwei Kilo Kartoffeln.
Ich brauche fünf Pfund Hänchen.
Ich brauche zwei Liter Tee.
Ich brauche ... Something. Iii need to either move past this section or start doing German earlier. Actually I think I need to move past this section. Next up, though, grammar!
