I need to stop swinging wildly back and forth between crushing self-doubt and hot-tempered anger. It's not like me and it's not at all productive, especially when emotional issues are still being straightened out.

German notes. That I did not type up last night. Because I was taking a much needed break to watch SPN and then looking for a goddamn cat.


We got to learn six verb tenses today. SIX. So, first the structure of the first person, and then the examples that we learned.

PRESENT: Ich bin ein Student (pretend I'm male for a second here)
PAST: Ich war ein Student
FUTURE: Ich werde ein Student sein.

PRES PERFECT: Ich bin ein Student gewesen
PAST PERFECT: Ich war ein Student gewesen
FUTURE PERFECT: Ich werde ein Student gewesen sein.

Argh, yes?

Present: Ich [verb] [predicate]
Past: Ich [verb] [predicate]
Future: Ich werde [predicate] [verb infinitive]

Pres Perfect: Ich [verb present] [predicate] ge[I don't know what this is called]
Past Perfect: Ich [verb past] [predicate] ge[thingie]
Future Perfect: Ich werde [predicate] ge[thingie] [infinitive verb]
