Management made easy
Jan. 21st, 2004 04:11 pmI just heard this on Judging Amy and thought it would merit a post. Keep in mind, though, that this is paraphrasing.
The secret to being a successful supervisor is that everyone who comes into your office will have a monkey. And what they will want to do is to leave the monkey on your desk when they depart. Don't let them. Make them leave with that monkey and give them another monkey to go with it.
And a short while later there will be a real entry. But that just made me laugh.
Oh, side note on the publishing mania: E-mailed the aunt again and got an e-mail back and therefore now have enough self esteem to run on for the next couple of days. So all is good there.
