kittydesadeThis may get cross-posted to courtesan school when I'm feeling more ready to analyze and put it in its proper place, but today I'm just... bleh. I tried to stuff myself into my bad jeans today, which I know I shouldn't have done and, really, the stretchier pair did sort of work. But it just wasn't happening and now I'm back to feeling generally lumpy and dumpy and the ginormous bump on my forehead is not helping my mood. Nor is the fact that it took me about four hours to actually get to some state of wakefulness.
I don't know. I think this is more of that demon Instant Results sidling up to me to try to stab me in the back instead of rushing me at once and beating me about the head and shoulders. Same effect, different approach.
1. Outside of things that you planned on learning (e.g., weaving course, Russian, etc.), what have you recently 'surprise' learned?
I think... Actually, given what I just typed up above, I think I'm learning to be patient with myself. To accept that no, some things just take time, I can't do it for a week and then quit because I'm not getting anywhere. To actually recognize the little signs and little victories for what they are. I could probably stand to have this lesson rammed into my head with a pike a few more times.
2. What would make you say 'NO' to a muse trying to settle in your headspace, and I mean, a 'no' that they wouldn't be able to wiggle their way past?
... hell if I know. Super-saturation, maybe, I managed to resist Mary Winchester pretty well due to having an overabundance of strong women (and what's up with that? It used to be broken men.) It'd have to be something pretty bad, given what I've got in my head already, what I put up with. Well. Not put up with. Permit to live. I don't put up with their bullshit, I just lock them away until they behave.
3. One pet (or bigger, if you have any ;) ) irritation in my behaviour that occasionally bugs you enough to want to make me change it?
SLEEP, WOMAN.
4. What's your favourite colour? Is it different from your favourite colour to wear?
Favorite color is probably purple. Favorite color to wear... black, I think. If only for the nostalgia value, from wearing black in the theatre. And, as Neil says, you don't have to worry about things coordinating.
5. Has there recently been a prompt on the comms that you write for that you wanted to answer/write as yourself for?
Start something, maybe. No prompts tend to leap out at me as a person. Although now I'm waiting for the Munday Charloft prompt, just because... yeah.
Mmm. I hereby dub today 'finish outstanding fics' day. If only because the only box I have left to pack is one that I think is currently under discussion over the phone, so I'm waiting for that to wrap up before that gets figured, and no new orders have come down the pipe. And I wrote one, I should write more. Meh. Just... meh.
