More Russian! Maybe this morning I can get it without the answer key. ;) (Nicknames are hard!)


Это мой друг Марк
Это мой брат Саша
Это мой папа Борис Михайлович
Это моя подруга Маша
Это моя сестра Лена
Это моя мама Анна Сергеевна

Russian has six cases:
Nominative (Naming)
Accusative (Direct object)
Genitive
Prepositional (Follows a preposition)
Dative
Instrumental

If the noun in the nominative case ends in a consonant other than -й, add -e.

Нью-Йорк -- в Нью-Йорке
Сант-Петербург -- в Сант-Петербурге

If the noun in the nominative case ends in -й, -а, -я, drop that letter and add -e.

музей -- в музее
Москва -- в Москве

But never write -ие as the last two letters in the prepositional case. Write -ии.

Калифорния -- в Калифорнии

For foreign words ending in -о, -и, -у the prepositional case looks the same as the nominative case.

Колорадо -- в Колорадо
Миссури -- в Миссури
