Have you hugged a veteran today? I hugged my veteran today!
I also have apparently made my veteran a very excellent stew. First try, too. This may have to get inscribed, although I got it out of my Joy so, it kind of figures. Didn't put in the pork drippings, but. Eew pork. Blame being raised by a Jewish grandmother.
Mail order sale is less freakishly busy today than it was yesterday. Which may or may not enable me to get some writing done at work today, but I'm not holding my breath. But it may enable me to be rested enough to get some writing done tonight. Mua ha ha ha ha. 30k and climbing, my friends. 30k and climbing. Plus there's that secret thing I'm on tenterhooks about.
Meanwhile
booknerdguru and I are quoting Dune and suddenly I want a cinnamon stick. Or something. The spice must floooowww.
Yeah, I got NO sleep last night. Despite going to bed on time, waking up early but still within the bounds of normality to get to work early this morning, I woke up at 1. At 2.30. At 4. And finally at 6. What the fucking fuck, body. Or cats. Whichever one of you it was that woke me up. Cranky kitty is cranky. There will be reprisals, as Stegman would say.
Moo. I want chocolate. Someone went across hte street to the Chocolate Fetish, bought chocolate, left it here, and now wants us to ship it to her because she left it here. And asked us "you didn't eat it, did you?" when we couldn't find it. (No one had, someone had just moved it from behind the front counter to the back. Fortunately this store stays air conditioned enough that it's not going to melt.) I'm seriously tempted to eat it anyway just to spite her. Rarr. Keep an eye on your own damn chocolate, woman.
Heroes last night. The way they're developing Sylar is... better than last season, but awkward. It's like they have all these disconnected aspects that they're trying to blend together by jamming the pieces together and sanding down the edges till they fit. Ugh. Also, everyone is still batshit fucking crazy.
