All right. I left the computer off for about half an hour and it hasn't crashed on me yet. I'm going to take that as a good sign, a sign that all that happened was that it overheated and I should remember to turn the damn thing off when I go to bed and when I go to work instead of not worrying about it and letting it go to Hibernate or Standby. I'm still going to save some money towards a new computer, which, having looked at some laptops, Christ on a cracker. It's easier than I thought. It's about a third of the cost of each of the three (three? yes, three) computers I've owned in my life. I like that. Especially after I've paid off my credit card. So, this one just has to last until January.
Iiii need to knock down some RP tags. Finish some RP threads. Because I am going to do Nano, and I think for the first time since I started itunless Fluffy has something to say about it I'm only going to do one novel this time. Mostly because I am working a full time job on top of it, which I've never done before, but also because the mail order sale falls straight through it. Yeah. I'm not looking forward to that.
Also because I need to start my outline. People who I normally gchat to during the day, if I'm on gchat at work and saying how dead it is, kick me? Tell me to stop tagging people and start working on Astrid and that stuff? Because I so need my ass kicked on this one by now. October is almost half over and I have no outline, and while I would normally wing the hell out of it and smash it into shape later, I don't want to do that with a mystery novel. Too much needs to happen that requires structure for me to just wing it.
Game happened on the weekend, and it really amuses me that I've become the little domestic goddess of the game. Somehow I've managed to be capable of both cooking dinner during game and gaming during it, which I wasn't necessarily able to do last time. Either that or I've gotten better about making meals that require a lot of prep but then can be fridged and just tossed in the oven so all I have to do is listen to the timer. Actually, I've just done a lot more cooking in general. Go me.
Right. Bed. Tomorrow, going out to get some Halloween things, like a bowl for candy and, you know. Candy. Because this neighborhood is chock full of kids and looks like it might get pretty heavily trick or treated. And, yo know, failing that, I can always distribute it at game. Or at work, for that matter. We have a candy bowl at work. And someone tell me I don't need any new BPAL.
