Ahhh, lunch. Also known as, leftovers. I may, since I'm doing the dinner cooking for me and the boy now, start trying to stash away one or two meals worth of dinner as sort of an anti-leftovers thing. Because there isn't always as much leftovers as I'd like, nor as regularly as I'd like.
And dinner tends to be really tasty things like chicken teriyaki and curry and black pepper beef. Mmm.
Okay, so. Breaking Dawn occurred, and this means very little to me since I haven't read the books and the only reason I would is out of sheer curiosity. From everything I've heard my opinion ranges from insipid crap (on a cranky day) to not my cuppa (on a normal day). However, I have seen almost as much anti-Twilight stuff as I've seen pro-Twilight stuff around, and... I had a point here, but now I'm not sure what it is. I think just that a lot of the commercial adverts I've seen tout it as the next Harry Potter, and it just isn't. Whether or not you liked the Harry Potter fandom, most of the people who read the books liked them. With Twilight, the response seems to be about fifty fifty. And I do wonder what the correlation is between intelligence/lifestyle/education level and ... no, that's not right. Hmm. Let's see.
Intelligent/highly educated/way over educated people are, in my experience, more likely to find deeper meanings in or analyze a book. I do it myself, these days. And it seems like Twilight isn't the kind of series to stand up to much scrutiny of deeper meanings. So I wonder what the correlation is between people who do that, and people who don't like the book.
Anyway.
Oogh. Tired. Weekend was fun. My family remains crazy. My mother remains a bit spastic, a lot adorable, and generally sort of flaily. My aunt R is doing well, which is good; I haven't seen her in a while. She's here at the store helping out and working on stuff of her own, so, yay. She also brought the Spanish textbooks so I can edumacate the boy.
... I had a nom but I eated it. Back to work now, I suppose.
ETA: Must remember to watch Invader Zim tonight. Tonight is an Invader Zim night. Mostly because a little voice in the back of my head just went "So very alive! And full of goo..."
