kittydesadeAnd now, a few random notes.
* LJ is not sending me notifs. Fucking LJ.
* I had my first latte today! I went out to the bookstore down the street for hot cocoa only to find that they had no hot cocoa. Which gave me a bit of a downturn, but then I decided to get a white chocolate latte, which they call a White Rabbit. Which amused me. It was actually very, very tasty. And warm. Which was nice. The weatherman this morning said that the town had warmed up to 10 degrees F. This is not warming up! This is ... simply achieving a state of less freezing.
* The store was relatively busy today. Hopefully that's the beginning of an upswing.
* I went English Country dancing yesterday! I forgot to note that yesterday. It was bizarrely like some sort of combination of contra-dancing and that sort of dancing that Inara and Mal did in Shindig. There may or may not have been pretending I was Inara/channeling Inara. Ahem.
* The way the store is laid out (I'm sure there are pictures on the web somewhere and may edit this post to link to them) there are two walkways above the main store part. One with a rail, one without. The one without goes behind the counter, and I just walked out onto it and proclaimed myself Queen of all I Survey, to the amusement of the two people working the register right now. I love this place.
* There may be a purchase of hand lotion in my future, though. I'm really not liking what the whole packing tape slime thing and crumpling lots of packing paper is doing to my hands. Or maybe it's the cold. Either way.
