kittydesadeSo, yeah. That supposed vacation time I maybe had a slim chance of ever getting? They just took away my Tuesday off for the weeks of the 29th and Aug 5th. So, yeah. I'm now working straight Monday to Saturday both those weeks. Fun fun fun in the Jag's going crazy with a sword now.
Possibly the only mitigating factor in this is that we did change our shifts to shorter hours and they haven't yet mandatoried extra hours. Although we are working an extra hour today to compensate for all the money I've been spending on fabric lately. Augh. You have no idea. The freaky thing is, I'm still pretty flush, and I have no idea how I'm managing that. But yeah. Extra hours, more money. Extra cranky Jag.
So, I went into the fabric store yesterday to get yellow ribbon roses for a skirt that I need to finish. The only thing left is the embellishments and fixing the waistband, the work of about an hour, and then I can clear out that project box. While Iwas there I picked up some buttons that I also needed, and some bias tape that I needed. I was a good girl and spent only $20.00.
The boy, however, and the Pirate, neither of whom intended to buy anything at all? Oh yes. I was all "Hey, while we're here, I have the shopping list for the requirements for the Renne faire garb you wanted me to make, you wanna see if there's any fabrics here you like?" and the Pirate's all "Ooh, you're making vests? I want vests." And out we walk with THIRTY YARDS OF FABRIC. Do you know how many vests that could make? THIRTY YARDS. The average vest takes 1.25 yards. Oh yes.
But, yeah. Work. Argh. Sewing. Yay. Writing. ... um, what's that? Boo, Jag. Don' wanna go back to work. Like my break time. Meh.
