Jun. 18th, 2007 09:17 amWhy am I dreaming about Watergate? No, seriously.
Saturday was the last day of the week of hell at work, yay! Also it was a day of going to Dave and Buster's, eating the best teriyaki steak ever, playing shooting games till my arm felt like it would fall off, skee ball (sport of the gods!), and getting enough tickets to win the FIVE FOOT FUCKING LONG DRAGON. No kidding. Seriously, I may have to take pictures of it squatting over my computer for scale. The desktop. I had problems getting the damn thing in the car and in the door. Hah. The dragon is mine.
Its name is El Jefe.
Sunday was supposed to be a day of rest and sewing, and turned into a day of marketing fleas, picking up second-hand DVDs for very little money (Still blaming you,
analise, for picking up City By the Sea), and soft-serve. And then getting a massive headache for the next five hours. Yech. But I also saw Ocean's Eleven and Ocean's Twelve, so now y'all can stop bugging me about it. And now I can see Ocean's Thirteen.
Which at this point strikes me as a fairly redundant movie. But I'll go see it anyway, now that I've seen the first two. They were enjoyable. And funny.
This afternoon I think will be a day of cutting out my bags and then sewing them up tomorrow. 'cause I totally failed at it yesterday. Barton Hall stories continue along sluggishly, everything else... I fail at getting up an accurate word count, apparently, but am otherwise doing pretty damn well at FicFrenzy? I think I've only had two days in the last two weeks where I haven't written anything at all, and most days my word count hovers around 2k. Not my best, but damn well not my worst.
And then, Tuesday, that'll have to finally be my day of rest and sewing. Looking forward to just being able to sleep for twelve hours. Again. Yes, I went to bed early Saturday night and slept till, like, ten in the morning Sunday. But. Something something. Today is a day of... hopefully of lots of emails so I can relax. And cleaning off the table so I can sew.
