Jan. 22nd, 2007 10:01 amI think I've managed to consume 3 brownie bowls in 2 days and not actually come out all poodgy and looking like I gorged myself. Which I totally did. I have no idea what miracle occurred or whether or not someone magicked my mirror to look like I'm still getting back into shape. Either way, not stepping out in front of that bullet again. No more brownie bowls. Eating somewhat sensibly again. Yes. At least I stretched yesterday. Another two weeks and I might even attempt a split.
Got absolutely nothing done yesterday. At all. There were two football games and then there was rejoicing about the Bears going to the Super Bowl. And when the Bears are playing in the playoffs, especially when they're doing well? NOTHING gets done in this house. Sweartogod. Mostly I curl up and hide from the football, and everyone co-opts the TVs. We have two TVs. Surely they can watch football on one and I can watch, I dunno, The Libertine on the other? No. Absolutely not. Fucking football.
Oh well.
Today! Patterning. Writing. Maybe mini painting if it isn't too frikkin cold out to seal things. This is why I don't usually paint in the winter. I like my brain cells where they are, and if I have to seal or prime indoors, the brain cells flee the vicinity, never to be seen again. And by flee I mean curl up, shiver, scream, and die. It says "Use in well-ventilated area." Well, no kidding, but unfortunately the best ventilated area in this house is on the patio outside. And this again becomes a problem when it's 10 degrees below zero. I'm in the states, so that's Farenheit.
Still playing around with Bertie Botts' Every Flavor Scents, also known as BPAL. The boy's kind of gotten into it, although half his verdicts are "That stinks" "Eew." or "That's too strong." Bah on him anyway. It's supposed to be strong when you've got the bottle in front of your nose. Tried Black Cat, which went instantly soapy on me and had to be put down. Tried Libertine, which didn't hang around very long and buggered off somewhere else. Today I may try Tenochtitlan, which offers some sweet promises. After I exercise, have breakfast, shower, and go back to bed.
