Well, fuck.

So, for at least one application I have to write a brief bio, double spaced, on a separate page. This is both a problem and highly annoying. So far my approach is thusly:

Paragraph 1: Childhood, as relates to writing. (3-5 sentences)
Paragraph 2: College/beginning of submission process (5-6 sentences)
Paragraph 3: Past year or two. (3-5 sentences)

I may post a draft of the somewhat final product in a couple of hours but for now I'm curious what people think are the salient facts an agent (or secretary to an agent) would like to know. For those who haven't been following, I'm submitting a pulp detective novel to agencies in the hopes of gaining representation. Bullet points about interesting things to my life follow.

  • I speak four languages, and grew up in a bilingual household. (English-Spanish, also French, Japanese).
  • I participate in Nanowrimo.
  • I grew up in Washington DC.
  • I studied Anthropology, history, and religion. (With degree information or no?)
  • I participated in theatre for eight years and dance for ten. (roughly.)
  • I read extensively
  • I am studying Russian and German on my own time.
  • I have traveled abroad.
  • I have been a professional seamstress for four years.
  • Writing credentials: I have been published three times, accepted for publication four times, and the manuscript I am submitting received approval/good feedback/etc at the Maui Writer's Conference.
  • I am an ordained Wiccan High Priestess (I fear this may be a bit too wuji for a would-be detective writer.)

Is there anything in there (apart from the writing credentials, obviously) that seems good to put in a bio? Is there anything I've missed that you think I should put in? Is there anything that I should definitely under no circumstances put in right now?
