At game. Which, really? Is kind of silly since I still can't actually talk. I'm whispering down the table at everyone. It's great. I'm carrying on conversations like normal. I just have to do it in a loud whisper. So silly.
So, I finally cracked open a couple of early Christmas presents. Yes, feel free to slap my hand. They were books I actually need for my submissions, so my aunt sent them to me early. And now I should reeallly start editing, now that Nano's over and I'm pretty much healthy except for the no voice thing. I've even stopped napping half the time.
Anyway. The point being. A couple of these books are on plot and dialogue, two sticking points that don't always stick me but sometimes, often enough that I put them on my wish list. I think. Either that or my aunt just sort of decided I could use them and it was a fortuitous set of circumstances, or she decided I could use them from the bitching and moaning I do sometimes.
Did I mention that my aunt, who never ever really reads hardcore pulp detective, likes my pulp detective novel? Booyah. That's what I'm talking about.
I need an icon of Cyborg booyah.
ANYway.
These books have exercises in them. I intend to do these exercises. I intend to post them in
excellent_words and probably the results (if they're not essays or some other kind of non-fiction thing) in
pawprintletters.
Just, y'know. In case anyone wants to follow along and do exercises too.
