Mom just e-mailed me to tell me that plans on the house are moving forward and it's looking like the house itself, the main part, will be completed in two or three years. The barn shortly thereafter, and the cabin will be fixed up.

I'm crying. I don't know what to say or do, but I'm crying and happy and this is the most amazing thing that could ever have happened to me.

At any rate. Now I have a goal for a time to be saving up for a horse, and to start working on linens and suchlike. And to have at least a book deal. Which involves a lot more asskickery, but I can do it. I can.

This year I am thankful for so, so much. First and foremost, the coolest family in the whole wide world.
