I dragged myself out of bed this morning after four and a half hour's sleep due to staying up far too late RPing alternate-Griffin with Moony. AU!Griffin was talking with AU!Juli. It was highly entertaining.
And then.. today... oh my. I Witnessed The Revolution.
Matrix Revolutions, that is. It was... I'm not sure. It wasn't everything I thought it would be, and some things I thought would be in there weren't. And there were some truly priceless moments and some wonderful developments that I didn't think would be in there, that were. I'm going to see it at least a couple more times this week, and I'm going to take a notebook and take notes for my epic-length fanfic. Which, actually, I just took a look at the word count. It's 100,000 words long. Yikes.
But yes. Revolutions was beautiful. It will make absolutely no sense if you haven't seen Reloaded, so go rent that and see it first. Everyone was wonderful, all the characters.. there were a few bits that seemed to drag on too long and the transitions between the three big segments (You should be able to figure out what I mean when you see the movie, I'm trying to be obscure without being completely obtuse) were choppy and a little stilted, but I'm hoping that the DVD has deleted scenes that streamline it. On the whole, actually, I think the Matrix sequels could have been split into three movies. But oh well.
The ending was both predictable and rather shocking. Once it got to a certain point I knew what the ending must be, but the manner in which it came about... startled me. I like it, and at the same time it makes me very sad.
Hugo Weaving has one of the top ten sexiest evil men laughs on the planet.
I was sadder than I thought when certain things happened.
I adore Captain Mifune.
The climactic fight scene in the rain with Neo and the Smiths (hey, that sounds like a band name) was too... repetitive. You'll see what I mean.
I love this trilogy. I'm sad to see it end, but I love it all the same.
Now, on to Nano.
