1. corsets:
   I like corsets. I'd like to make one for myself someday. Preferably the Victorian kind, because I don't think I'd like to be two ice cream cones stuck together at the pointy ends. But they slim my waist and display my cleavage, and that's all right by me.
2. eleanor of aquitaine:
   She fought with her husband for rule of England, outlived him, and ran it till her sons died. Also, she totally taught Richard the Lionheart everything he knew. What's not to love? Plus, Katherine Hepburn in Lion in Winter is my idol.
3. horror:
   I've always been interested in the horror genre, mostly in literature. Picked up Stephen King at the tender age of ten, which may have been too young. Now I write it, and it's some of my best writing, I feel. Love to read it, love to write it, even love to watch it sometimes.
4. krull:
   Krull was one of the 80s fantasy movies I didn't see too often, not until it came out on DVD a few years back. I still want a firemare.
5. marquis de sade:
   I have a copy of a bunch of his writings somewhere around here. Letters, essays, short stories, and Justine. He may have been a crazy old bastard (not clinically, just socially) but I kind of like his chutzpah. Plus, political/clerical porn-satire.
6. ninjas:
   Oh, come on. You gotta love the ninjas.
7. roleplaying:
   I started roleplaying... um. Guh. Ten years ago or so. With Paranoia, then leading into Shadowrun. I like the idea, like the whole storytelling aspect about it, like getting a bunch of friends together, sitting around, and doing absoutely crazy things. Not all of them restricted to game. And now I want pizza.
8. small press:
   Small press magazines and publishing companies are going to be the blessing of my beginning career as a writer. Never underestimate the power of the small press company, nor their helpfulness in getting you started. I love these things. Plus, human interaction is something I suspect I'll miss when I hit the big leagues.
9. the dark tower:
   I started reading this back, I think, when there were only two books. Possibly three. I remember getting really frustrated with the old bastard because he took forever to get the books out. Now that it's over I'm not sure if I like how it ended or not. Some days yes, some days no. It's still one of my favorite epics, though.
10. yellow submarine:
    The Beatles were an integral part of my childhood. I still love watching this film, listening to the music, today.

It's been an odd week. My thought patterns say I'm depressed, my energy level says I'm fine. I've no idea which to believe. I've been relatively productive, although procrastinating some stuff. Mostly my stuff. But also community stuff. And RP comments.

Syrra, I'm sorry about all this crap and misunderstanding and more crap about the Shaitan plotline. I didn't mean to bust in on your party, even less to say 'okay, this should be wrapped up soon 'cause I dont' want to play' or whatever that got interpreted as. The Riders are your playground, tis not my place to come in and jackboot all over it. I am a foolish American person.

I have a list of things to do. I should get on doing it. And at some point, probably Sunday I think unless there was something I was going to do Sunday. And now that I think about it I think there was. But Sunday I should get back to painting. And at some point I should get the muslin and corset fixin's to make corsets, although if I ordered them I probably wouldn't have them by Sunday. Painting usually helps me get my head on straight. Better than writing does, anyway. Not sure why, except that writing would also be 'working' even if it's not technically my job yet. I mean, sometimes writing can be relaxing? But... oh well. There's some explanation for it, I don't feel like digging it out right now.

Mea maxima culpa, maxima mellow apologies to all those for whom I've lagged on RP threads. My head is screwing on tighter now, things should be back to ... normal? As normal as they ever get.
