I shouldn't be awake. I should be sleeping still. Or if you want to get really proper about it, I should be showering. Because I am sweaty from overheating under the blankets last night and I stink. At least to me.
But I also should have finished outlining the extra chunk of novel two days ago. And I haven't yet. I'm still not sure what needs added in, what needs elaborated on. I know what needs to go, but I don't know what needs to replace it. That the novel, as it stands, is 100,000 words long seems to..
FUCKING HELL, PEOPLE! does the phone NEVER stop ringing in this house?
That the novel, as it stands, is 100,000 words long seems to have escaped me. Or at least, that as a viable number. I have selected 130,000 as the length it should be. Don't ask me why. Or maybe it's just 'cause of the ginormous backstory and my need not to telegraph the bond between the three main characters. Or maybe it's just that I'm an overachieving strumpet.
Either way, it's up in the morning and let's see how long it takes Dragon to drain Sam's battery. Because, dammit, I will get this outline done by noon and then start writing in the evening. GodDAMMIT.
At least I got my taxes done.
... evidently it takes less time for me to get fed up with trying to talk to Dragon while tired and sniffly than it does for Dragon to drain Sam's battery.
