kittydesadeHoly shit. Apparently that was one hell of a storm system blew through here last night. What with the almost twenty people dead and the tons of wreckage all across the southern midwest at least.
The house and surrounding area were spared; I'm going walkies in a second so I'll see how bad the damage is around the neighborhood, I guess. Didn't sound as though it was going to be that bad last night. The Katrina rescue wasn't even running around hte house like a mad thing like he usually does. Cowering behind the couch, yes. But not running round the house.
Other than that, I got nothin'. I'm sure I'll update later this afternoon with the OMGsomuchwriting! frenzy post. Someone smack me if I don't put the Pen Bryton scenes on PPL?
ETA post-walkies: Well, apart from the incessant wet and worms everywhere, our neighborhood's fine. There was also a dog chewing on something that my half-asleep mind decided was a leg-bone. A human leg bone, that is. Halfway throug hurrying past in case it decided my leg-bone smelled tastier I saw the torn open garbage bag and decided it must be either an old hambone or leftover dinner.
Or it could still be a leg bone and I could have some really creepy neighbors. You never know.
And while I'm head-desking, someone remind me that just because I'm not a BNF or someone with 500-2000 people on their friends-of list on LJ doesn't mean I'm a boring person or a bad writer? Honestly. Stupid, Jag, just because you don't have 50 people clamoring for the next chapter of your fanfic doesn't mean you suck. It's a GOOD thing. You don't WRITE much fanfic. You write original stuff and it's good and, oh, yeah, remember the two novels you're supposed to write this month? And all the support documents? Yeah. I thought so.
Graagh. My self-esteem sucks first thing in the morning. Time for a shower and a good face-desking.
