kittydesadeSo, apparently there are two good companies for urban style minis. One, IronWind Metals, which does the official Shadowrun minis and which I intend to gut as soon as possible for all their good stuff.
The other? Urban Wars or something like that. Which is in Midlothian.
Not Midlothian VA, either. Which I could get to without little trouble, or rather send my mother to.

Bollocks. Why are all the really good mini companies in the UK? Or at least, all the really good ones with all the minis I actually want.
Anyway. Oop. It looks as though we have no plans to go out for today. So there will be a Clea Duvall Bad Movie fest. The Faculty and Ghosts of Mars. And, if I can find it, that horrible movie with her and Tyler Mane about video games. It was on the SciFi channel.
I think I primed a hundred, hundred and fifty minis yesterday. And I'm probably going to wind up priming a bunch more tomorrow, if it's warm. I don't want to know how many brain cells I'm killing with these paint fumes. But painting is good. It's relaxing. It's theraputic. It takes my mind off of things that I really damn well need to stop thinking about. There's a list. I have a list of things I shoudl stop thinking about. Then again, I have lists of everything.
Like things I need to get done today. Taxes. Fucking taxes. Novel writing. At some point I need to upload all the crap I need to upload, posts and icons and things. Most of the comments are tagged. The Twins need new icons, 'cause I don't like the ones I have but I've half-figured out how to make prettier ones. Meh. And I need to prep for Shadowrun this weekend. Which isn't hard, because I know what I need to do, so much as time consuming.
Lunch. Then bad movies. Bad movies and mini painting and lots and lots of writing. But I don't have to work till Thursday, so that's all right, then. Well, all right in the sense that I have time to do things. Not all right in the sense that, less money. Fucking money. But at least my next major bill is in three months. Till then, it's just going out less and buying fewer toys. I've already gotten all the painting crap I needed. And I don't need any more damn minis. I STILL have minis in blister boxes that haven't even gotten primed yet, let alone painted. LOADS of them.
