kittydesadeThere’s something rather disconcerting about being attached to a food product… or by product… or waste product… that comes solely in colors of radioactive orange and red.
I refer to, of course, that strange and wonderful creation known as Spaghetti Os with meatballs.
I’m currently consuming a tin of them… cold, of course, because once heated they take on a rather noisome smell… and contemplating why on earth it is that I would be so entranced by their color. Certainly the substances which make up this concoction were never found in nature. I guess it’s one of those weird fascinations that human beings seem to have, the sort of thing that led to the development of twinkies and kool-aid and daytime television. The fascination with things that defy both legal and natural practices. Ugh.
The moment of truth has arrived: I’m switching all journals, URLs, diaries, etc, over from Drucilla to Kitty deSade/ the Jaguar Kitty. Why? Because the person that used to be Drucilla is dead and gone. Buried. Six feet under. She had died and gone to meet her maker. She’s a stiff. Bereft of life, she rests in peace. There’s been no nailing of anyone to perches, but she’s definitely pushing up the dasies. This is an ex-Dru.
And, really, it’s because I’m sick and tired of juggling screen names. Sad, but true. I’ve gathered… well, fewer names than most have I guess since the advent of the internet, which seems bound and determined to give everyone as many names as possible. But with this fell swoop, hopefully I can reduce myself to one, or at most two names that are somewhat related: Jaguar and Kitty. People have been calling me Jag or Jaguar for a good decade or so, and Kitty for almost as long. So, the Jaguar Kitty web page will stay up, and Drucilla will be retired. Although her web page will probably stay up too, just because.
I think it might be one of the supreme ironies of the world that the colors of my web page are the same as my high school colors. God is definitely an iron.
