So that would be memorizing the verbal nouns of everything, and reviewing the genitive case. On the plus side, Irish only has four cases, and two of them are nominative and vocative.

Apparently I've read about 33 books to date. That's just the ones I can remember, since I'm not always the most punctual about updating the list and sometimes I bet I forget a book or two between times. Anyway. This puts me on track for reading 100 books by years end. Which is impressive considering my initial goal was 25 to try and get back into the reading habit. This is why libraries and e-readers are wonderful, too. You don't have to have 100s and 100s of books lying around your house!

And then Anna and I got into an extended discussion of all-male bands formed past 1990 and how much we don't actually like most of them, and I confessed to a not so secret anymore liking for the Backstreet Boys. Oops. They have nice voices okay shut up.

My brain was churning a mile a minute last night, with the end result that I actually got a fair bit done, so there's that. Since it's still churning at a mile a minute let's get a list of shit to be accomplished today: finish The Third Policeman (if you like James Joyce but find him incomprehensible this book may be for you), polish and post the thing about Portland. Which, there's at least one thing in there that I'm getting really squirrelly about talking about and may in fact redact. Finish reading over White Lightning. Maybe read some of Glass God if work really is that slow, which it might be. Figure out which Dime Novel I'm doing next and expand that some to prep for writing it. Work on concepts for Dime Novel covers, maybe draft a few. (Also figure out the sizes for that on Smashwords.) When I get home, move plants from peat pots into small pots. Fold laundry. Repair spinning wheel. Finish Sleepy Hollow 1x02. Let's see how many of these I get done and if there's anything else I get done while I seem to be in supercharged mode. Oi. On the other hand, I'm sleeping slightly more at night? Maybe that's just because I'm staying up past my bedtime. Really need to quit that.

So, for Russian practice today, rather than continuing the happy hijinks of Anton Gorodetsky I ended up translating this piece of crap flyer that was apparently making the rounds of at least the internet if not the actual Donetsk region. There've since been counter-rumors going around that it's a hoax, which only makes it better in that actual people aren't being rounded up and stamped with a big yellow Star-of-David. And people say anti-Semitism is dead. Excuse me I have to go set some things on fire with my mind.

Oh, and for extra kicks while we're down, a Princeton and Northwestern study confirmed what we've suspected for a while, that we're actually an oligarchy rather than a democracy and no one really gives a shit what you think. So yay.

(I'm feeling really bitter and cynical right now, does it show?)

I got some of the stuff done, am getting some more of the stuff done, leaving probably? Hopefully only the stuff that I have to do at home, like plants and changing the spinning wheel. I also found some old fanfics where Darcy and Barton have inadvisable wild sex in Paris, among other things. One of these days I'm going to finish that, as well as the Natasha sex pollen aftermath. One of these days.

And Gabriel Garcia Marquez died and this day is set on fire and fired out of a cannon. Done. Boom. (Also that goes on the list of shit to read, right after the four books I checked out of the library and Glass God. Oi I have a huge reading list.)
