Well. That was a snow day! And a somewhat productive day, I did get at least three (possibly four depending on if I get the living room picked up all the way or not) rooms picked up and photographed for my grandfather, I got the damn bathroom curtain sewn finally, and how long have I been saying I was going to do that? A long damn time is how long. Apparently it takes OH GOD MY GRANDFATHER WILL SEE THIS BATHROOM I MUST MAKE IT PRETTY to get me to do it. Fair enough. And I did my Irish and I finished and sent off the damn translation and now of course I'm panicking because why the hell did I think I could speak Spanish and I did a terrible job and woe.
(Look, it's imposter syndrome, it's not supposed to make sense.)
The hilarious part is that I then put on Strictly Ballroom in the background while I sewed, and it made no difference whether I was listening to the English or the Spanish dialogue. And carried on a short conversation with Kiki about how my brain is fucking malfunctioning and telling me I can't speak Spanish, in Spanish and then I felt better. But it keeps rearing its head when I think about it, so I'mma stop talking about it now.
As far as I know it's still damn snowing. I can't quite tell because it's now dark outside, andI can't be bothered to get up and go look into the street lights. Aunt says we might have a late start tomorrow, too, if not a full snow day. This would have worried me more about losing hours last year, but we're in a comfortable enough place this year that my inclination is YES ONE MORE SNOW DAY I CAN DO MORE CLEANING AND WRITING AND FINISHING OF PROJECTS. I have at least two stories in the very last throes to finish, and one halfway done, and a Haven blog to do. So. Maybe one of those can even get finished tonight. Right now, dinner making.
Russian will go here after I get dinner into the second stages and then can sit down and do some Russian. Thankfully I have a copy of the book I'm reading here at home, too.
